Bethel Cemetery

Bethel Methodist Episcopal Church stood on the west side of the cemetery from 1883 till about 1937 when it was destroyed by fire. Here you can find several historic graves including the grave of Rev. James H. Chandler’s grave. Chandler, was a Methodist minister, county judge, county treasurer, and signer of Florida Articles of Secession, he died in 1888. Cemetery is owned by United Methodist Church.

Citrus Grove Elementary
Citrus Grove is our “adopted” school, this does not mean you can not reach out to other schools to provide help.

Current & past projects include Annual 5k, Shoes for Kids, Wellness Room for Teachers and Staff, Staff Snacks for break room.

 

Community Clean-up
Organize an outreach to a target community to provide grass cutting, leaf raking, trash pick up, etc.

 

Ecology Outreach

Organize an outreach to clean the beaches, lakes, parks, etc. Plant trees or a community garden.

Helpers Of People Enslaved: West Volusia Churches United
A faith-based coalition dedicated to ending human trafficking, providing awareness education to prevent becoming a victim, and supporting survivors rescued in Central Florida. Survivors are supported by providing housing, therapy, medical care, and job preparation.
